How long does it take to go insane in Deepwoken? ›

Players start with a base 80 sanity. Being in The Depths passively takes sanity at a rate of 1 point every 30 seconds, meaning you can spend about 40 minutes in The Depths with 0 Willpower and no equipment bonuses before you reach maximum insanity.

To get the 'Lose Your Mind' talent in Deepwoken, you need to engage with certain in-game events that induce insanity, such as interacting with certain items or facing specific enemies. Happy surviving!

Free Points will allow you to increase all of your attributes of your choice but doesn't allow you to power up if you don't have enough exp. Free points cannot be used after Power 20, and considered useless. It's recommended to use your points as much as you can before reaching the cap, of Power 20.

Nope, Deepwoken isn't pay to win! You can buy Notes and special items, but skill and strategy are what really matter. Paying for items in Deepwoken can give you a head start, but it won't make you unbeatable.

Do you age in Deepwoken? ›

Moon Rings stop your character from changing visually, but they will still age. If you are significantly older than another player of the same race then they get the "Juvenile" or "Nephew" title over their name like it would for a family member and you get "Elder" above yours for them.

Meditate and stay in well-lit areas to reduce insanity levels in Deepwoken. Or just, you know, avoid getting insane in the first place! I had a ton of insanity once; standing near campfires and using prayer beads helped me a lot.

If one year passes (4 real life days), your character will get one year older, unless it gets wiped.

Age System

Your character ages when they reach their season of birth. Age may affect your Character's entire appearance, such as wrinkles and a change of hair color. Some accessories change through age such as Vesperian's mask, or Ganymede's hat. You do not die of old age, as the system is purely cosmetic.
