The 39 best bakeries in Utrecht (2024)

Daebak Korean BBQ is a newly opened restaurant located near the Oudegracht, offering an awesome dining experience. The interior decoration and table placement create a pleasant first impression. Upon arrival, guests receive a thorough explanation of how everything works before starting to order.

Order through tablet, ~40€ p.P. without drinks, I think its nice! One scoop of icecream comes with each person.Very tasty meat, all in all great service and freshly made things. The Kimchi Tofu Soup was great!!!

Pretty decent food. A bit expensive when you consider the overall experience. A bottle of water costs 7.50! Would like to try once more to form a more detailed collection of thoughts.

This place was bookmarked in my Google maps for a long time. Really wanted to visit it, as we love Korean barbecue and finally got a chance, but in return we got a very disappointing experience. We came with a six year old child who does not eat meat and spicy food. We said that the child will not eat. We specially fed her before the restaurant. The manager told us that the child could not sit like that, we had to pay 17 euros, just for her to sit. This was explained by the fact that they cannot control whether the child eats or not and also so that other visitors are not offended. I note that the restaurant was empty, only 4 visitors, there were no children. We were not offered any other options. It was easier for them to lose an average bill of 100 euros for two adults than to solve the problem. Not a customer-oriented restaurant. So parents with kids, who doesn’t eat BBQ are not welcomed there. You have to pay for a seat.

Zeker een aanrader!!(Translated by Google)Best kbbq I have tested so far in the Netherlands! The food is fresh and diverse, served quickly and the service is friendly. Tablet system works well. Price is on the higher side but you get really good food for it! I also really like the sushi here, which I am not used to from kbbqs. Especially the spicy tuna, well filled! The atmosphere is cozy and the location is conveniently located in the center of Utrecht. Highly recommended!!

Whenever I go to a new Korean restaurant, I try their kimchi first to check if their food is going to be good. In short, Daebak serves very delicious food! The food and atmosphere remind me so much of Seoul! I wanna go back! 🥹The portion sizes are big too so you can’t eat all. I wish they gave the option to order takeaway.

Finally!! Korean restaurant in the heart of Utrecht😍Everything here is perfect “All you can eat” concept with a large variety of foods plus great service !!! A must try !!! 🎉

Amazing Korean BBQ. For a fixed price you can order all dishes from the menu for 2 hours. The beef Bulgogi was very good and in fact everything we had was delicious. The selection of dishes is quite large and ranges from small to even several bibimbaps and stews.

It’s okay-ish…We had a lot of high hopes for this place only to figure that the food quality is not as good. The service is okay, waiters are doing their best and they serve very quickly. What I found odd was that you must order a drink (which is not the case in other restaurants like this) and the waiter/manager (not sure about the role of the person) comes over to let you know that you MUST order a drink for the 2,5 hour bbq lunch/dinner.I would recommend the fried dishes and side salads. The seafood had a rather unusual smell to it.The place is tidy and clean, but the overcrowded atmosphere doesn’t make it look like it that. Overall, I don’t think that I will visit again.

Toen kwamen we hier langs gelopen. Wat ik echt aanraad is de yangnyeom tongdak, dat is zo intens lekker.(Translated by Google)We were walking through Utrecht and looking for a place to eat. Then we walked past here. I've had a Korean BBQ once before and that was in Eindhoven. This one was much tastier. The choice of meat was quite good. There were also a lot of other dishes you could order, such as a rice bowl or stew. Also other hot Korean snacks. What I really recommend is the yangnyeom tongdak, which is so intensely delicious.

Excellent Korean BBQ restaurant 😍 Food was good, atmosphere was great and it's authentic. Enjoyed cutting meat with scissors again, just like on my trip to South Korea. They also have Milkis 🤤 Highly Recommend the Banana flavor ❣️

Brand new and perfectly located. Finally a full Korean bbq place in the city center of Utrecht. It is simple, all you can eat for 2 hours and they have all the classics and well selected thinly sliced meat or seafood.Multiple sides and excellent bibimbap.Service was great perfect for our Sunday night. There was Seoul Sista in Rotterdam and Amsterdam finally Utrecht has its own Korean experience.40 euros with a drink, great deal, way better quality/price point that some other places in town…All that makes It deserves a 5 star …Just go and try it for yourself …

It's a decent ayce Korean bbq place, but just not amazing. The dishes were decent. The raw meat for the grill was not spiced that differently so most of the variations somehow tasted very alike. You do have one dipping sauce, but that does not beat the pirpose of having a variety of tastes.Besides that, the bibimbap or the other fried/grilled dishes are just fine. Once again, nothing amazing. The atmosphere was dark-ish and felt like a regular restaurant. The service was fine. They do what you you would expect, without a friendly touch. The timing of our visit also didn't helped with the overal experience. We went during the summer and sat next to the window (at the second part of the restaurant. Our table was often enough being bothered by flies, which I want to say it's hard to avoid. But I haven't experienced this in other Korean bbq restaurants.

€36 per person All you can eat (excluding drinks) for 2 & half hour? Best deal in town! Top quality food and 90% of menu items you cannot go wrong with! Friendly staff and excellent quick service! Just make sure to come with a hungry tummy!!

After initial difficulties with our ordering tablet, the evening went great. The selection of grillables and side dishes is sufficiently large so that there is something for every taste. A few more sauces would have been nice. The service team is friendly and immediately clears away empty plates and bowls so that there is space on the table. All in all a great KBBQ experience outside of Korea, the price is right. We were pleasantly surprised that our clothes didn't smell strongly of grilled food afterwards.

Took my family out for KBBQ.Enjoyed the variety of dishes. Unfortunately some of the basics were not as great, for example the side of rice (cold, super grainy, not all cooked through etc). The order cycles are more than appropriate. I'd wish there was a bigger choice of drinks, such as mixers, mocktails etc.Pricing is ok, not sure whether it's 100% justified though. Especially when looking at the service. It seems a bit unenthusiastic and unengaged.Big environment, suitable for any party size. Generally surprised that it seems quite ventilated and not too "smoky".If the occasion comes up, I'm sure I'd come come back accompanied with a group.

Nice concept and for a BBQ very good quality food, and more than enough time to eat enough.Service could be improved. One of our tables initially didn't work (we were moved to different tables). We also had to check in on two orders that didn't arrive after ordering.Only thing this place really is lacking is atmosphere. It is rather noisy, and while a BBQ does not really lend itself to the same atmosphere as a regular restaurant, they should definitely improve noise dampening with more soft surfaces.

Food is okay, but you have to pay for your drinks, other restaurant with the same experience the drinks is included in addition to deserts, you only can order it one time and the second time you will have to pay for it.

Raneem A — Google review

Great barbecue, we tried maybe %80 of barbecue items and they were all good (lamb and ribeye were my favourites). Also the side dishes were made really nice so they accompany the barbecue very well. Only thing we didnt fully like was sweet sour chicken. By the way, for desert i recommend black sesame ice cream, it was amazing. One downside: it gets crowded and smelly (obviously) in there and you feel some sort of relief when you get out.In general, skip lunch and go full in here for dinner 😉

Nogmaals ranzig!!(Translated by Google)Reserved for 5 people but we got a table for only 4 people but the staff had no solution for this because everything was already full. We were then given a plate that still had food scraps on it and covered it with a piece of paper, so it was super rancid. The meat was clearly old, it was discolored and even smelled (meat was on the gray side, see photo). The side dishes such as fries and fried chicken were also old and full of oil, it seemed as if it had been fried more than once. After the 1st order round, we immediately asked for the bill because we wanted to leave as soon as possible because of the disgusting food. Here we were told that we had to pay extra for the uneaten dishes. We indicated that we did not intend to do this because the meat is simply old. We are against waste, but this food was just not okay to serve. Staff was unfriendly and had no solution. I honestly do not recommend this place to ANYONE!!PS: check your lamps better, there are dirty sushi sticks hanging in the lamps. Rancid again!!

Always a good experience here, nice employees, good atmosphere and lastly the most important nicely marinated meat!My personal favorite is Galbi (Shortribs) and Dak Bulgogi (Marinated chicken) for the grill! The side dishes are all very nice, can’t have enough of it. Not a big fan of kimchi, but the fermented radish, seasoned sprouts and cucumber is just 🙏Fantastic stews, especially the herbal Beef ribs stew! Also the glass noodles are fantastic! At last try to save some room for the dessert and order lots of Red bean filled pastries, those are just GREAT.Got no pictures of the food, im always to focused on eating when im at Daebak

Great Korean BBQ in the city centre with good variety, both precooked dishes. The desert is very limited.Drinks are not included and they do also serve pork, although all their other meats besides pork is halal.

Wij zeggen doe het niet!(Translated by Google)We saw a nice video about this restaurant on social media. On April 13 we decided to have dinner here. Unfortunately, no success. The staff was friendly. We made a reservation at 8:00 PM. We got there on time, but we were sent outside because everyone had to go in at once. Never experienced that before. We had to wait a long time for the first round. The food was mediocre. The meat is cut large and you have to cut it. Doesn't seem very hygienic to me. I ordered the easiest sushi with shrimp myself. The sushi tasted sour. The marinated chicken was really not tasty either. After the first round I felt very nauseous. I had to order a coke, because otherwise I would break my neck. My partner and I had stomach aches all evening. We say don't do it!

First time eating AYCE in Netherlands. It was good. The meat is okay. The side dishes is the best and also other menus and the ice cream! You should try. The price is quite good for the food that they offer. Unfortunately the drink is not included in the set. So you need to pay for it.

I would recommend booking in advance, we went on a Sunday evening and it was packed. The food is incredible and very good quality for all you can eat. Service is good, staff are very on it clearing your tables of the little plates. Only minor downfall- and this really cannot be helped- your hair and clothes will really smell like BBQ food after. I freshly washed my hair beforehand and it smells like BBQ now, also our clothes too. So don’t wear anything you care too much about and ladies don’t make too much effort with your hair because you’ll want to wash it after! All in all great food coma, and will return for sure.

Pieces of meat that are too large make it impossible to eat a varied diet, because it quickly becomes too much.Grill took too long or your baking paper burned immediately. You have to cut your meat and fish with scissors, a really rotten system. All in all, a waste of money, you pay a lot and have to gourmet yourself.

The food is good and the concept is nice, but overall we hadn't the best experience. We asked to change tables and they agreed, but after the first round they took our tablet because it was from the other table and after several minutes without bringing the new one, we had to go ask for it.A few things that we ordered didn't come, we had to ask several times plus asking the waitress. The same happened with the paper change and the bill.

Alright, so after falling in love with Korean cuisine back in Switzerland, my girlfriend and I were looking for more. We'd never visited Daebak before, so we decided to go and see if it's good....it's not good. It's awesome. Our first impressions from the restaurant were already pleasant - good locale, decent interior decoration and neat table placement are an important and welcome first sight. After we sat down, we got a complete and thorough explanation of how everything works, and we started ordering. The meat served here is spiced just right, and the quality's good, too. If you manage to grill the meat correctly, you're looking at something you'll barely even have to use the meat scissors on, it'll practically fall apart around your chopsticks. Excellent. The stews and cold noodles were really good as well, the tastes blend very well together. The dessert menu is lacking somewhat as it only has four ice cream flavors, but they are quite good and also pretty big for single scoops, so dessert is still very much worth it, especially if you combine it with a warm drink.Food was excellent. Dessert was delicious. Drinks were good. Service was commendable. All in all - a very recommendable experience that'll definitely have us coming back sometime!

Overall the quality and experience is great, we were greeted by a welcoming server which explain us how to order and the rules, there’s one drink consumption per person mandatory. They have a wide assortment of beef, chicken and sea foods and the menu includes an ball of ice cream. We paid around 37 eu per person with drink included.

Mario C — Google review

The service was good, orders were delivered to our table pretty quickly. However, the food was not what you would expect when you pay €40. The quality of the meat for the grill was mediocre at best. Many cuts were with a lot of fat and the meat tastes like it came 'fresh' out of the freezer. The other main dishes were just bad and none we had, we ordered again. The side dishes were bad and tasted like they came out of a packet out of the supermarket. The ice cream tasted more like artificial flavouring than like ice cream. The red bean fish cakes were the best of the menu and taste good. Conclusion: Even though the service was good, a restaurant is for eating and the food was just bad. It's a disgrace to call this restaurant a ' korean bbq'.

Excellent service, great staff members..such a quick, friendly team. Awesome fresh meat and great side dishes. 2nd time here & it was another perfect Korean culinary experience, super tasty. Definately going again soon. Would recommend 10/10 ..and 5 stars all round.

The food is great, at least most of the meats and fermented sides. However, the hot sides were a little disappointing. The service is almost fully digital via a tablets on the tablets. Still, it is surprisingly fast.A little expensive, but all-you-can-eats usually are.

Jokūbas R — Google review

I went to Daebak Korean BBQ with two friends for their all-you-can-eat deal, and it was quite enjoyable. We enjoyed the variety of meats available, including beef, pork, and chicken, both marinated and unmarinated. They also offered Korean stew dishes, kimchi, other side dishes, fried dishes, dumplings, and much more. The seating was comfortable, and the grill worked well. The staff was quick and helpful, efficiently delivering everything we ordered to our table. Overall, it was quite good, also the location at the gracht is nice. But the drinks were a bit pricey, especially the soju. They could improve by adding some Korean-style juices to the menu to enhance the overall experience, but in general, I can't complain, and I would come again!
